Faurecia Top-Level Assembly Line
The final assembly line to assemble finished modules for heavy-duty exhausts.
The final assembly line consists of stacking cell, welding cell, operation stations, leak test cell, 3D scanning cell and etching cell. The part is ready for the customers after it is packed out from the production line.
I redesigned the sequence flow for etching station. For stations with no buffers, I also built up repair station to complete the failed online operation to reduce the bottleneck time. Thus, the cycle time has been greatly reduced. I optimized the PLC (Allen-Bradley) and HMI (PanelView) program for enhanced tolerance and higher efficiency, and I troubleshot the problems in daily production to keep the line running with non-stop. The production has been enhanced by 4 times compared with that before I arrived.
